Here's How It Works
Guidelines For The GigRoster™ Referral Network
- Referrers must have had personal contact with the client they are referring. The program is only open to event and hospitality professionals, including performers, event and wedding planners, caterers, event facilities and venues and other similar services and businesses in the event and wedding industry.
- 5% Referral fee is based on the full amount paid to the entertainer or performer booked by the client the you have your referred. For example, If they book a band and the band is paid $2500.00 for their performance you'll be paid a referral fee of $125.00.
- Referrers must have permission from the customer and inform them that they are referring them to their GigRoster™ to assist them.
- Referrals must be for a specific event or performance. Referrals may NOT be general customers with potential future bookings but who are not currently planning to hire entertainment.
- Referrals must not be based on information gathered from online platforms or listing sites, but should instead, originate from a personal working relationship or interaction with the referred customer.
- Customers should be expecting outreach by phone, email, or text, referencing yourself as the person who referred them. Any lack of recognition may raise concerns, prompting review, and potential removal from the referral program for referrers making non-personal referrals.
- A referral fee is exclusively awarded only to the initial referrer for a specific event. We will try to promptly inform any referral program member if the client has been previously referred or has already initiated contact with GigRoster™ before the referral. In such instances, the referrer will be ineligible to receive a referral fee.
- We prioritize transparent communication to ensure clarity and fairness in the GigRoster™ Referral Network.
- The person booking entertainment may not be the referring person/company.
- If your referral fees reach or exceed $600.00 in a any year, you must complete a W-9 form for payments as required by law and you will be provided with a 1099 for your referral earnings. You are responsible to pay taxes on any referral income. GigRoster™ Professional Entertainment makes referral payments to you as a promotional fee.
