Wunderbar Band
Wunderbar Band brings the lively sounds and festive atmosphere of a traditional German beer hall to celebrations throughout Jacksonville and Northeast Florida. More than a traditional German oompah band, Wunderbar Band combines authentic German folk music, polkas, Oktoberfest favorites, and contemporary party selections to create an energetic and interactive experience. Their performances capture the spirit of Bavaria while keeping the music accessible, entertaining, and fun for audiences of all ages.
Inspired by the music heard in the famous beer halls and Oktoberfest tents of Munich, Wunderbar Band begins its performances in the tradition of classic Bavarian festival bands. The group's Oktoberfest repertoire features the familiar German songs, drinking songs, folk tunes, marches, and polkas that help create an authentic Oktoberfest atmosphere. As the celebration progresses, the band expands into more contemporary selections, giving audiences the best of traditional German entertainment combined with the energy of a modern party band.
Audience participation is an important part of every Wunderbar Band performance. Sing-alongs encourage guests to join in the Bavarian spirit, while the band's own version of the Chicken Dance gets people out of their seats and into the celebration. They may even recruit a brave guest to try a little yodeling with the band. This combination of live German music, humor, interaction, and high-energy entertainment makes Wunderbar Band an excellent choice for Oktoberfest celebrations, German festivals, beer festivals, corporate events, weddings, community celebrations, private parties, and other special events.
