The McKarrtet is a Seattle based jazz quintet consisting of several of the finest high school musicians around. The group consists of Chris McCarthy on piano, Schuyler Karr on bass, Cameron Vohr on saxophone, Thomas Campbell on drums, and Margaret Davis on vocals Although they are all either juniors or senior in high school, they play with a sense of cohesion and professionalism that rivals many adult groups. Renowned Seattle vocalist Stephanie Porter says: "These guys may be in high school, but you'd never guess it from the way they groove!" All members of the group have an extensive knowledge of everything from jazz standards to 70s rock to modern day hip hop, and can take song requests from the audience. Recently the group has played at such venues as The Scarlet Tree, Tula's Jazz Club, The Faire Cafe, and The Jewelbox theatre, in addition to many private parties and events.
