Steve Wilson--Speaker MC Humorist
Based in Seattle WA
Steve Wilson has been hanging around the Northwest media scene for over 25 years. As a Director-Producer for KING TV, he was responsible for a myriad of locally produced shows and specials. But what he's most often stopped in the grocery store for, besides some lady asking where chopped nuts are, is his involvement with the local smash comedy show “Almost Live!”
Wilson signed on as its original director in 1984 and continued in that capacity as well as writer and cast member through its entire run of 15 seasons. The show went national on Comedy Central from 1992 to 1995 and was syndicated nationally in 1998. The show, now considered a Seattle icon, continues today in reruns. Steve also served as co-host on THE ANDY SAVAGE SHOW on 107.7 The End, as well as on air producer for THE PAT CASHMAN SHOW on Komo-AM 1000.
He was voted ‘Bachelor of the Year' by Seattle Magazine in 1999, and, believe it or not, has worked several summers as a Disney Character at Disneyland. (Yes, those costumes are hot inside!) He now works at KOMO-TV-4 where he directs “Northwest Afternoon”, “KOMO-4 News” and several special projects. In his spare time, he does public speaking and MC's auctions and live events. And if you are lucky, you can occasionally catch him hosting the entertainment section of KOMO's 4:00 news called “The Buzz”.
