Based in Chicago, IL, Solaria is a string ensemble that entertains wedding-goers and a variety of other events within the city and surrounding areas. The group consists of three highly-trained and talented musicians, all of whom take pleasure in complementing special events with elegant classical and contemporary music. You and attendees are bound to be impressed by their superlative playing abilities, friendly personalities, and eclectic repertoire. They offer multiple group sizes to assist in tailoring your individual needs, such as a solo string player with recorded accompaniment music, duo, trio, or quartet.

As Solaria’s coordinator, Rachel Mossburg has been captivating audiences with her exceptional string playing for decades, having performed over 1,200 concerts and 300 weddings. Having performed with many of the Midwest’s finest ensembles and orchestras, she is well-versed in knowing how to dazzle a crowd. Her most recent and exciting opportunity was being able to share the stage with Michael Bublé for four shows during his US tour. Other highlights include going on tour for three months across the country with the Netflix series Our Planet, live in concert, performing with the Civic Orchestra, and playing with the Chicago group called Mucca Pazza. She graduated from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in 2020 and met gifted musicians Olga Kossovich, and Abby Monroe shortly after her move to Chicago. Olga is working on her doctorate degree in violin performance at Northwestern, and Abby studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in cello performance. Together, the trio strives to provide their clients with unforgettable musical experiences.

Though much of Solaria’s repertoire features classical tunes, they also enjoy playing music from other genres such as pop, jazz, and rock. They can accompany any stage of your event, from background, cocktail hour, or featured artists.
