Phoenix is the Carolinas’ premier rock cover band holding roots on the border of North and South Carolina as well as amassing over several decades of combined professional experience between the six musicians in the Group. In late 2023, the Band was originated by front man Jayson Zessin, drummer Ryan Little, and guitarist Rich Klingel. From there the group recruited additional talent bringing into the mix bassist Wayne Mahar, keyboardist Dave Stuard, and guitarist Edward Crowther. Between the six musicians the Group amasses several decades of professional touring experience and renowned careers in the music industry with members touring alongside acts such as Buckcherry, Trapt, Saving Abel, Pop Evil, Adeima, Another Lost Year, Genesis, Burban, and others. The Band’s presence and energy is set to match their setlist, which spans rock n’ roll covers from the 70’s well into the 2000’s (music from Aerosmith, Journey, Shinedown, Velvet Revolver, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Stone Temple Pilots, Steppenwolf, R.E.M., Bon Jovi, Queen, Poison, Bryan Adams, Santana, Lynyrd Skynyrd, 3 Doors Down, Lenny Kravitz, REO Speedwagon, The Ides Of March, Van Halen, Lit, Tom Petty, and many more). In combination with professional lighting and sound, Phoenix delivers one of the best high energy and excitable rock shows the Carolinas has to offer.
