Marc Bristol and the Harmatones
Marc Bristol & the harmatones specialize in piano rock'n'roll a la Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and Fats Domino, but also do plenty of Chuck Berry style rock'n'roll guitar music. Their CD of (mostly) original material "Rockabilly Rhythm & Blues" landed Marc a gig at the prestigious Hemsby Rock'n'Roll Weekender in England where he was backed by the house band, and appeared along with Rock'n'Roll originators Freddie Bell, the Olympics, Tommy Sands, Donnie Brooks and several others. "You guys were awesome" was the host's remark after the band played a back yard party for a national TV star. If you're ready to "Party like it's 1959", Marc Bristol & the Harmatones could be just the right party machine! Since the band is essentially an alter ego for Filé Gumbo, when the situation is right we can throw in plenty of Cajun Country Rock and New Orleans R&B! Featuring guitars, piano, bass (either upright or electric) and drums the group is normally 5 piece, but can add a saxophone when desired.
