We prize ourselves on the authenticity of our entertainment (modeled after the luau shows in Waikiki and Honolulu, Hawaii).

Meet the Director

Mahana was started in 2009 by Sunny Purcell. Of Samoan decent, Sunny has danced Polynesian starting with her family since age 6. Her professional experience includes performing with former top Hollywood group at age 14 - Adventures in Polynesia, Nonosina's Professional "Black Team", and former 6-island performer at the world-famous Polynesian Culture Center in Hawaii. Additionally, Sunny has trained hundreds of dance students since age 13, and has traveled as an invited guest to Tahiti and Samoa to perform as well. 

Sunny is a graduate from the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business, and currently resides in Salt Lake City, Utah with her daughter.
