This ensemble is the vision of Joe Calzone. 

This band promises to deliver a unique experience— from Woodstock to the present.

Joe Calzone received his first drum at the age of 1 and has not stopped exploring the world of percussion since.   Notable sensa’s include the legendary Carmine Appice and Bernard “Pretty” Purdie.  Joe also studied the full range of percussive arts in Manhattan with Norman Grossman at the infamous Frank Ippolito’s Professional Percussion Center.  His musical background and style bring an exciting mix to all styles of music.  He approaches the drums with a passion and enthusiasm that motivates all band members to perform at a higher level with the goal of creating a memorable performance for the audience.  

Joe is the founder and president of the world-renowned Calzone and Anvil Case Companies, manufacturers of heavy duty shipping cases for most any application.  He brings the same dedication and attention to detail to Calzone’s Mad Dog Redux as he has done for Calzone and Anvil for over 45 years.
