Lakeshore Brass is a brass quintet born from the vibrant music scene of Chicago, where each member has soaked up the city’s rich musical traditions. David, Jered, Fiona, Matt, and Keith each received their musical training from members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Starting just before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lakeshore Brass faced the challenge of launching their performances during a time of social distancing and uncertainty. Despite the circumstances, they embraced the opportunity to connect with audiences through digital platforms, sharing their passion for music.

Over time, Lakeshore Brass cultivated a devoted following and found a steadfast partner in Concordia Ministries, which has become their home base. Concordia Ministries is the fiscal sponsor for Lakeshore Brass, empowering Lakeshore Brass to pursue and develop its philanthropic goals in music education and outreach.

Throughout their journey, Lakeshore Brass has been dedicated to creating meaningful connections through music. They believe that music serves as a bridge, fostering connections between humans and the natural world, between individuals, and within ourselves. As they continue to explore these connections, Lakeshore Brass remains committed to sharing the transformative power of music wherever they go.

WEDDINGS

Not only will Lakeshore Brass enshrine your ceremony with beautiful music, but we promise to provide our services with the utmost level of professionalism. Weddings can be exceptionally stressful events and something always fails to go as planned. Not Lakeshore Brass! We aim to ensure your music to be shimmering and your experience with us stress-free! In addition to performing ceremonial music, Lakeshore Brass offers music for cocktail hours, dinners, and receptions.

EVENTS AND PARTIES

CHURCH SERVICES

Brass instruments and the church have a long and rich history spanning far into the past of the Old Testament with the trumpets of Jericho and into the future heralding in the Second Coming of Christ. Today, an Easter or Christmas Service without brass just doesn’t quite feel right. Lakeshore Brass is available to perform for Easter and Christmas Services, but why limit having brass at just two services out of the year? Lakeshore Brass can make any service exceptional. We can perform preludes and postludes, accompany hymns, and perform with choirs for special music. Additionally, Lakeshore Brass will work with you to make the most of our performance to best serve your congregation.

SENIOR CENTERS

Enrich the cultural lives of your residents by having Lakeshore Brass perform at your Senior Center/Retirement Center. When you bring Lakeshore Brass to perform, you get much more than just a concert; we aim to provide a commensurate musical experience. We believe that music is a deeply personal and individual experience but equally experiential socially as well. To best achieve this social aspect, we will work with you to custom-tailor a program that best suits the needs of your residents. This could include the types of music on the program, pre-concert talks, instrument demonstrations, Q-and-A sessions, or even post-concert socials.

SCHOOL PROGRAMS
