Kermet Apio
Based in Mountlake Terrace, WA
Kermet Apio was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and movedto Seattle, Washington to attend college. He has lived there ever since.
Comedy began for Kermet at an open mike night at the ComedyUnderground in downtown Seattle. Nearly two years later, he decided tomake the leap to full time comedy.
Kermet has performed in 47 states and three Canadian provinces.He has been invited to showcase at comedy festivals in Aspen, LasVegas, and Vancouver. He was the 2009 winner of the Great AmericanComedy Festival in Norfolk, Nebraska, Johnny Carson's hometown. Hehas appeared on television and radio, with over 40 appearances on“Rewind,” a show heard on NPR. He has performed in 47 states and 3Canadian provinces. He's entertained at over170 colleges, 250 corporateevents, 30 comedy clubs, and many cruise ships as well.
His act is clean, clever, and autobiographical, and covers a range ofpersonal topics like his home state of Hawaii, his name, his age and hisfamily. He is married and a proud father of two. Oh, and in 1988 he wasonce “Dishwasher of the Month” at the Sea-Tac Airport Denny's.
