Harry O'Donoghue
With over forty years in the music business, Harry O'Donoghue has become a master folksinger, humorist, songwriter, storyteller, international recording and touring artist, radio personality, and ambassador of Irish culture. His comfortable, easy-going style and charm have become his trademark, complemented by his quick wit and natural ability to draw an audience into his show. Harry's songs weave a story of Ireland, past and present, and his Irish 'groan' humor and observational comedy are sure to please any audience.
He has shared the stage with many notable Irish entertainers, including Mary Black, Danny Doyle, The Furey Brothers, Liam Reilly, and Cherish the Ladies. Harry has also performed with the Savannah Philharmonic on several occasions. He continues to be a popular Guest Entertainer with Norwegian Cruise Line and Oceania Cruises, where he is affectionately known as "Harry O'...The Irish Guy."
Harry serves on the Advisory Board of The Centre for Irish Studies at Georgia Southern University and co-produced and hosted the weekly Green Island Radio Show for Georgia Public Broadcasting for thirty years. Through O'Donoghue Tours, Harry and his wife Traci have been leading and customizing tours to Ireland since 1997.
Performing throughout the United States and abroad, Harry's versatile style shines in a variety of settings, from concerts to festivals, clubs, fundraisers, conventions, singer/songwriter showcases, and private events. His warm and entertaining style has universal appeal, as evidenced by his extensive career. As a founding member of the group Terra Nova, he gained national recognition when they were signed to Polydor Records, Ireland, in the mid-'80s. Since Terra Nova disbanded, Harry has enjoyed a hugely successful solo career, recording sixteen albums and continuing to perform regularly.
