Classical trained cellist Ilene McHolland met Dutch bassist Bas Vossen in Amsterdam, 2006 and they hit it off pretty well -in a couple of weeks they had started the Freewheelers Cello Band, playing a festival where they were well received. Playing everywhere in the Netherlands and later Western Europe, sharing the stage with John Sinclair, Raymundo Amador, Amadeu Casas, Jeff Tecson, Jeramy Norris of Dangerous blues, Nicko Christiansen and Jeroen van Niele of dutch legendary bluesband 'Livin'Blues'. They are met everywhere by happy audiences whose first question is, if they are going to play.
