50's, 60's, Acoustic, Non Amplified, Bluegrass, Roots Country, Blues, Blues Music, Country, Classic Country
Two veterans of the various Seattle music scenes have joined together to blend their influences of blues, folk, reggae, blue grass, and African music. All served to you with their own gourmet flavor of acoustic guitars. Jimmy Free and Randy Shea have been satisfying the hungry ear ever since they met back in the 60s.
When you listen to Acoustic Snacks you are reminded of a time, less than one hundred years ago, when any music you heard was being played by a living playing musician standing near you. Living rooms were dance halls and the musicians were your neighbors.
Jimmy and Randy have created an acoustic instrumental sound with harmonies that sticks to your ribs and is so deliciously addictive you will be remembering and humming the tunes for a long time. Their repertoire includes songs by Muddy Waters, Bob Marley, Thelonious Monk, Mississippi John Hurt, to name a few, always with a few of their own mixed in.
Acoustic Snacks has been performing regularly at: the Wayward Coffee Shop, Coffee to a Tea, Soul Food Books, Richmond Coffee Co, Jai Tai, Egan's, Hestia Winery, and Celtic Bayou. During the summer Acoustic Snacks were a featured act at: Yakima Folk Life Festival, Renton River Days- two years, Richmond Beach Strawberry Festival, Auburn's Farmer's Market, Olympia's Farmers Market, Hestia Winery, Arcadia Nudist Resort, Lunch time at Occidental Square, and Kent Cornucopia Days.
