Way Out West is located in San Luis Obispo Country, CA and performs a variety of country and rock tunes from different eras.  Way Out West Band is country, both old and new, rock and roll with some fun hippie music thrown in for fun. With their tight harmony and hot licks, and fun stage presence, Way Out West has turned from the slick Nashville sound and upped the dance factor and rock and roll vibe that has built a solid relationship between tunes, listeners, and the dance floor.

The WOW band consists of Nashville transplants, Valerie Powers (vocals and percussion), and Kelly Powers (vocals, lead guitar, and fiddle). Wayne Pearson, aka, “The Rancher”, plays a mean rhythm guitar and Bob Hamilton is the premier pedal steel guitarist in the tri-county area. Vance Gibbon, on bass, lays down a funky groove to tighten up the rhythm section. Art Dougal on drums keeps it steady and flashy all at the same time.
